A Talk with Vicki Davis: Lower Test Anxiety and Improve Retention

Last week I was honored (and nervous) to speak with mega-education blogger Vicki Davis on her Every Classroom Matters Podcast. I'd met with Vicki during an Edutopia event a couple years ago when she introduced a bunch of bloggers to a social application we'd never heard of called Voxer. Anyway, Vicki and I talked about how to lower testing anxiety by incorporating social-emotional learning strategies. It's was a brief 10 minute podcast, but we covered a lot. Check it out

If you want to learn more about social-emotional learning (SEL)--which is about managing emotions, achieving goals, feeling empathy, maintaining relationships, and making good decisions--check out Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL).

Meanwhile, who doesn't want more email from strangers?
